- The first episode of Spongebob Squarepants was on tv in 1999, I was a teenager and immediately addicted. I played the first version of this game, Battle for Bikinibottom when it came out in 2003 and played it a lot. When this remake came out, I needed to play it again, but it was a disappointment. I would've loved to see an improved version, that's what remastered means right? Sadly it isn't. The frustration with the sometimes iffy game play from before is still there, I can's say I'm playing a Ps4 game. After 20 years you would like to see a smooth version of the oldie with a clean up in the graphics. It's Spongebob and there's still humour in the game, if this wasn't the deal, I would've not played it again.
